- Ida
- Pingla
- Sushumna
- When you take a breath from the left side of your nostril, Ida works and this is called lunar Swar.
- When you breathe from the right side of your nostril, Pingla works and it is referred to as solar Swar.
- When you breathe both the nostrils one by one, Sushumana flows. It is called Sushumna Swar.

If your earth element is predominant at the time of the question is asked then a girl child will be born, if the water element is dominant then a boy, if air then girl, if fire then abortion, and if the Ether element is active then an impotent (the incapable child will be born.
