Diabetes Diet

Controlling needs a planned, controlled and disciplined lifestyle to remain healthy, young, smart and fit, but it doesn’t mean deprivation from tasty and delicious food. Exercises, Planned diet and right herbal medicines, all are essential to remain healthy and to achieve longevity. There are a lot of delicious recipes to relish for the person having diabetes.  Here, various vegetables, fruits and grains are given which are beneficial in maintaining the right sugar level for the person having type 2, diabetes.

Alternate to Control Diabetes

Three alternate herbs useful in maintaining the right sugar level of diabetes type 2:

1. Paneer ka fool or (Rennet, Withania Coaglulans)

“Paneer ka fool” is a flower and a very useful herb in lowering down sugar level without any side effect.

A lady age 50 is taking the herb from last ten years, and now she is healthy and fit. 7 to 8 “paneer ke fools” need to be dipped in a bowl filled with during the night before going to sleep. Squeeze and filter it in the morning and have the water. “Paneer ke fools” are easily available in the shops, keeping herbs and it is very cheap in cost.

2. (Gymnema Sylvestre, Dhuleti, G. Silvestre)

  1. This herb in Sanskrit is known as Madhunashini and in Hindi known as Gurmar, which means killing Sugar. The herb is found quite effective in controlling sugar and maintaining the right sugar level and has no side effect.gurmar

    3. Bale Patri powder, Maithi seed powder, Jamun seed Powder and Taje patta powder:

    Maithi Seed Powder:                     100 gram

    Tej Patta Powder                            100 gram

    Jamun Seed Powder:                     150 gram

    Bale Patri Powder:                         250 gram

    Grind all the herbs and make its powder. Mix all properly and take 1 teaspoon full powder before one hour of taking your meal (lunch and dinner) with empty stomach and with lukewarm water. Take this powder 2 to 3 months. Trffla powder in the night has additional benefits in curing the disease; it can be taken with lukewarm water before going to sleep.

    Vegetables beneficial in lowering down Sugar

    1. Bitter Gourd (Hindi: Karela)

    It is good in lowering down sugar. It contains high level of “plant insulin” which control sugar level effectively. Bitter gourd can be used in regular diet as vegetables in the lunch and in dinner. Its juice is also very effective and can be taken in the morning or in the evening.

    2. Bottle Gourd (Hindi: Lauki)

    It contains 92% water and 8% fibers. It is easily digestible and can be taken in the juice form or cooked. It is good in maintain right sugar level.loki

    3. Ridged Gourd(Hindi: Turai):

    Ridged gourd is easily digestible and useful in controlling sugar level.

    4. Spinach (Hindi: Palak):

    It is full of vitamins and minerals and good in diabetes.

    5.Fenugreek (Hindi: Maithi):

    This is very effective in controlling the sugar level. One teaspoon full maithi keeps in a bowl filled with water and in the morning first thing of the day should be drunk after squeezing  & filtering it. Maithi can also be cooked with garlic, onion and tomato and can be used in the breakfast, lunch or in dinner as a person feel like.

    6. Cabbage (Hindi: Patta Gobi):

    Cabbage, Cauliflower, ladyfinger, Cucumber, turnip, lemon, radish, brinjal, parval etc., all are good to fight against the diabetes and facilitates in lowering down the sugar level.

    7. Curry Leaves: (Kari Patta) Leaves:

    Curry leaves have anti diabetic and anti hyperglycemic features and very effective in controlling diabetes. It can be used in many ways like tea, chatani or in suips of pulses.curry

    8.Onion and Garlic:

    Due to good digestive quality onion is effective in diabetes.

    Garlic: Garlic is also good in lowering down the sugar level. It is rich in potassium, zinc and sulfer. Potassium replaces the potassium which gets wasted in the urine. Zinc and sulfur are the components of insulin.

    9. Kidney beans:

    Good source of fibers and helpful in fighting against the diabetes.

    Barley (Jauo), Gram (Channa), Alsee, Soa bean etc., are good grains to intake for healthy diet.

    Soya bean is a rich source of fibers. They support in slow digestion and absorption the nutrients, hence they slow in releasing the glucose and help in diabetes. Same as kidney beans and soya beans, it aids in diabetes.

    Flax seeds have a good source of omega 3 fatty acid. It is quite effective in controlling the sugar level

    Boil cinnamon sticks in water, filter it and drink the water. It reduce cholesterol and helpful in controlling the diabetes.

    Lukewarm milk without sugar must be taken in the morning and in the night. Cow milk is very good for all if possible.
